Wonderhood: A hybrid content studio

The Client: Our client, David Abrahams, former CEO of Channel 4, set up a hybrid content studio with his vision to create a new-model advertising agency with television production, data insights and digital capabilities. The Studio was set up to develop, produce and distribute high quality content that can reach audiences through new channels as audience habits are radically changing.

The Challenge: THRIVE was engaged pre-launch to identify the Founding Partner/Chief Creative Officer to head up the television production studio. We understood the scale of the ambition and the need to secure enviable creative leadership with access to top level buyers with a strong track record for creating formatted documentaries and factual content.

Our Approach: THRIVE specialises in advising start-ups, and has advised numerous investors. Our client trusted us to know the market in detail. Our brief was to present a carefully curated shortlist of the highest calibre talent for us to approach on behalf of the client. Thrive set up discrete meetings, managed the selection process and handled the negotiation of terms on behalf of the client.

The Result: Following the appointment of the Founding Partner/ Chief Creative Officer, Thrive managed the hire of the Head of Development and other senior roles in the business as it grew including Head of Factual, Head of Development, Production Executive. The Content Studio has since won multiple awards.
